Carol Ann Martinelli is Vice President and National Commercial Services Counsel with Fidelity National Title Insurance Company located in Troy, Michigan, whose parent company is Fidelity National Financial, Inc. based in Jacksonville, Florida.

A smooth and efficient closing hinges upon recognizing and being responsive to the unique dynamics of each transaction. With our proactive approach to identifying and anticipating issues, resolutions are quickly achieved, moving deals forward toward successful conclusions.


Carol Ann’s legal career developed within the title insurance industry.  Her more than thirty-five years of national commercial title services experience with high-liability, single site and multi-site/multi-state commercial portfolio transactions involving major corporations, lenders and law firms throughout the country have provided her with considerable expertise in addressing a wide range of underwriting issues, tailoring of available nationwide and state specific loan policy coverages and successfully coordinating and closing complex real estate transactions. Carol Ann is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.  She is a past chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section, served as chairperson of the Section’s Pro Bono Committee for many years and is the recipient of the Section’s “C. Robert Wartell Award” for Distinguished Service. She has been appointed to standing committee leadership of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section and the Law Practice Division.  She is also an active member of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Detroit Bar Association, the Italian American Bar Association of Michigan (and past president), CREW Detroit, ICSC and the National Italian American Bar Association.  Carol Ann is a life-long resident of the City of Detroit and a 2002 Ph.D. graduate of the University of St. Michael’s College/University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario in the field of systematic theology with a focus on Catholic-Jewish Studies.
